This is 16th cen­tury Ger­man Land­sknecht dress, worn by the kampfrau. It is made of linen, with con­trast­ing col­ored guards with slashes. The skirt is car­tidge pleated onto the waist­band, and the bodice closes in the front. The hat is a vel­vet flat cap dec­o­rated with large feath­ers.
