This is a kir­tle from the 15th cen­tury. This one laces in the front and on the sides, and it is made of vel­veteen. I made it from a com­bi­na­tion of the pop­u­lar styles in the images so that I could also base it loosely on a Water­house paint­ing, Lady Clare. The blue sleeves are sep­a­rate pieces, and the dress can be worn with or with­out them.
